Barolo DOCG Ravera

Ravera is the most famous vineyard in the municipality of Novello. A Barolo with body and majestic depth, with noble, round and gentle tannins. It outlines a wine with fruity and floral aromas reminiscent of rose hips, but also a strong presence of tobacco, vanilla and spices. In the mouth it is perceived soft and enveloping, with excellent drinkability and structure.

Vinification
Pressing – Controlled fermentation at a controlled temperature of 28°C. Average duration of maceration: about 28 days. Malolactic fermentation in steel in November.Maturation of about 24 months in French and Slavonian oak barrels of varying sizes up to 60 hl, ranging in age from new to 10 years. Minimum 10 months in bottle before release.
Features
Intense garnet red colour with orange reflections. Intriguing nose offering notes of ripe plums, berries, herbs and a hint of spice. Full-bodied and round, with slightly firm tannins and a savoury finish.
Winemaker’s note
Recommended with important dishes seen the strong tannin presence, as savoury red meats brasato or bollito misto and aged cheeses.
